About
Ms. Divya Sharma joined the Faculty of Fashion and Design, SGT University, Gurugram as an Assistant Professor in 2023. Before joining academia, she has worked with reputed brands like Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Rangriti by BIBA amongst others. Her expertise is in the field of fashion design (ethnic wear for women), e-commerce merchandising and operations. She has a Masters in Fashion Management and a Bachelors in Design from NIFT Mumbai and NIFT Kangra, respectively. She is a gold medallist from NIFT Mumbai. She qualified UGC NET in her first attempt and switched from industry to academia to impart her experience and learning to students pursuing an education and career in fashion. She held an All-India Rank of 28 in NIFT Masters’ Exam held in 2017.
She has also worked in multiple Government of India sanctioned projects to showcase the power of the Indian culture and fashion across the globe. She has led brands like Louis Phillippe and Allen Solly to new heights in terms of both offline and online sales.
