About

Dr. M.K. Nair is a Professor and Dean of Faculty of Fashion and Design, SGT University, Gurugram. He obtained his Masters and Doctorate from NIFT Delhi. He has versatile experience in the field of fashion as a founder member of fashion colleges and as a designer in the industry.

Dr. Nair is not only an active member of Board of Studies in different colleges but also a research guide and thesis evaluator. The Faculty of Fashion and Design at SGT University is a dream project of Dr. Nair. He is the founder Dean of this Faculty and eminent personality in the field of fashion research. He has double doctorate in the field of fashion design and has published several research papers for Scopus and articles for Times of India.

Before joining SGTU, he served as Dean/Director at VIFT, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow and as the founding member of UPTU BFAD course [Bachelor of Fashion & Design, 4 Years degree course]. He served as head of the fashion department at LIET, Rajasthan Technical University, Rajasthan. He has worked as a designer cum merchandiser for different domestic as well as international brands like Hidesign. His rich industrial and academic administrative experience makes him a competent leader in the field of fashion.

• MBA Fashion Management A.M. University
• B.Sc. Kinesiology and Biomechanics M.K. University
