Dr. Pooja Gaba

About
Dr. Pooja is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Fashion and Design at the SGT University, Gurugram. She obtained her National Eligibility Test (NET) from UGC in her first attempt. With a distinction in her Masters and Doctorate she brings with her an experience of working in the Textile Industry as a Merchandiser and Face to Face teaching in the Institutions like IIS University, Jaipur, Pearl Academy of Fashion and Raffles Millennium International, New Delhi. She was awarded with Best Paper Award from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi for her paper and was granted financial aid from Department of Science and Technology, Rajasthan to pursue her research work. Apart from conventional teaching Dr. Pooja has designed and developed a Certificate Programme in Apparel Merchandising for the aspiring Merchandisers in the Head Quarters of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and was highly appreciated for her work. As a Programme Coordinator, she handled the academic and administrative work pertaining to the Discipline of Fabric and Apparel Sciences. She has authored twelve units for the Certificate Programme and has been instrumental in developing the audio and video programmes also. Dr. Pooja has conducted workshops on research paper writing for the design students. She has also actively worked with rural artisans of Rajasthan, developed Home Linens based on SUF Embroidery and made them available on E-Commerce platforms. Dr. Pooja is a self-motivated and creative individual who loves to read, travel and believes in lifelong learning process.
