As the pandemic of the disease caused by corona virus, COVID-19, has been spreading worldwide, the education of students is interrupted. Schools, Colleges and Universities are closed for the students throughout the country. In this scenario, the students who have just completed their schooling are found to be most confused as they are not able to get proper career counseling amidst the lockdown. But thankfully, the Internet has made things quite convenient and easy around the world during these trying times.
Hence, to provide a solution to the problem of students, a live webinar was conducted where Mrs. Ruby, a teaching faculty in Govt. Sr. Sec. School in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, interacted with the faculty members of Faculty of Fashion & Design, Mr. Akash Rawat and Ms. Geetanjali Solanki. The webinar was hosted on 6th May 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm and it was attended by a lot of students who are seeking guidance for their career after class 12th.
The faculty members of Faculty of Fashion & Design served as the speakers and made students aware how a career in fashion could be a great choice. They told the students about the career avenues in the fashion and design industry. Now, an array of courses is available in the field of Fashion & Design which not only accommodate directly to the industry but also to the supporting industries. Fashion has made a place for itself in every field somehow. Being into a fashion career, doesn’t always mean to perform designing tasks only. Apart from making the designs, there are so many career opportunities like becoming a fashion content writer, a fashion stylist, a fashion photographer, a fashion and lifestyle influencer, a fashion consultant etc.
The growth of fashion industry is generating various career opportunities. The increase in opportunities is increasing the demand of creative and enthusiastic professionals. The students has shown a great interest in this stream and cleared their doubts regarding the same. Overall, it was a great learning experience for the students and helpful for their future endeavors.
