Faculty of Fashion & Design has been established in the year 2016 and from the very first year, it is doing efforts to inculcate the pragmatic and inter-personal skills in their students by sending them to various Inter-university & intra-university competitions, University fests, and FDCI fashion shows. The students also showed their best efforts in various platforms given to them by the faculty and have been rewarded from time to time for their innovative and creative inputs in these competitions.
DAV United Festival 2018, where SGT University students of fashion design department have to showcase their creativity and sense of fashion by designing an outfit based on the initiatives that took place by Mahatma Gandhi, the fabric was ‘Muslin khadi’ inspired by the Mushroom. There was 15 Fashion Show in total out of which few organized by Brands and Designers and few are reserved for the Institutions. The Fashion Crowd witnessed business people, trendsetters, media people, and students. All the fashion followers really appreciate the efforts of the SGT students and it was a great platform for the students also to learn and explore more about the fashion industry.
SYNERGY is an annual three-day event. Various faculties of SGT 
and students from several schools and colleges of Delhi NCR participate and compete with each other. The Faculty of Fashion & Design also showed their creative side every year in this fest. In 2019 FFAD comes out with 3 projects where students showcase their creativity and passion for their projects. Innovative Laser-cut technology in Garment, Innovative Transforming Garment, and Indian Traditional Paintings were the 3 projects. Synergy fest is an opportunity for every student of Faculty of Fashion & Design to invent and create extraordinary ideas into reality.
Diwali fest is an event where every year students from
all the faculties showed their creativity through performances namely Bhangra, Classical dance, Skits & Singing performed by the students ignited the true festive atmosphere. Faculty of Fashion & Design also organizes their annual fashion show on this grand fest on a different theme every and in 2019 the Fashion team created & present the costumes on the theme of “NAZAKAT” in which 23 student models flaunt on-ramp with flawless designs in various hues. Every year this fest works as a creativity and confidence booster for the fashion students.
FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) Fashion Weeks, 
The Faculty of Fashion and Design have tied up FDCI and every season the students from the SGT fashion department visit various Fashion Shows organized by the Fashion Design Council of India in different locations. After an interview by FDCI, some selected students also get a chance to work in the backstage, front area and buyers counter in these glamorous fashion weeks. These shows really helped the fashion beginners to grasp the knowledge about the latest trends, work ethics, and necessary skills for being a fashion designer. The students also get a chance to meet with the famous fashion celebrities of India and learn from their experiences which they share in these fashion shows.
Faculty of Fashion & Design aims to create new fashion designers in the rapidly changing fashion industry. Exposures to fashion events are the primary actions that are essential for the fashion students to boosts their self-confidence as well as enhance knowledge about this glamorous fashion industry. The Faculty of Fashion & Design from SGT University is doing all the possible efforts to provide their students with the best practical environment by giving them numerous opportunities by these types of fashion events.
