Faculty of Fashion & Design organized two days of educational trip to Jaipur for the newly enrolled students. Such tours provide valuable, interactive life-skill lessons for all ages in the atmosphere of fun. The students visited the Birla Mandir, World Trade Park(WTP), Hawa Mahal and also the local markets i.e Bapu Bazaar, Johri Bazaar of Pink city to study about the history, architecture, traditional costumes/jewelry, cultural beliefs and handicraft. The students had hands-on experience when they visited to SANGANER. It was the most important part of the trip as students were learn about the Block printing and its techniques, which is the oldest form of printing the fabrics. Students themselves did block printing in the guidance of Mr. Santosh Kumar Dhanopia, National awardee from Ministry of Textile. Also, visited to Screen Printing, tie-dye & handmade paper industries to learn about their process thoroughly. These kind of trips plays an essential role in the holistic development of Fashion students.
