In continuation of series of Sports period, Faculty of Fashion & Design conducted another sports period on this Friday. Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. It is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side’s half of the court.
Like every time, 4 teams were made. Three teams consisted the students from different batches and the fourth team consisted the Dean and faculty members of the Faculty of Fashion & Design. The sport was played in the afternoon from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The first match was played among individual players from first two teams. The player from the team of second year won and that student played with the player from the team of third year students. Then 7 individual players played against each other from both the teams, where team of the third year won. The team of third year students won against the team of faculty members, too. Overall, the sports period was enjoyed by everyone.
