On 25th April 2023, a group of final year students from FFAD department, SGT University visited Oscar Wear, a
production house located in Udyog Vihar Phase 4, Gurugram. The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the
manufacturing and production process of clothing.
Upon arrival, the group was greeted by the production manager who provided a brief overview of the company’s
history, its products, and its operations. The students were then taken on a guided tour of the facility where they
witnessed the various stages of production.
The first stop on the tour was the design department where the students learned about the design process, including
creating sketches, selecting fabrics, and producing technical drawings. Next, the group was taken to the cutting section
where they observed how the fabrics were cut according to the designs.
The students then proceeded to the sewing section where they witnessed the actual process of stitching garments. The
production manager explained the importance of quality control and how each garment is carefully inspected before
being shipped to customers.
The tour also included a visit to the packaging and shipping section where the students learned about the various
packaging materials used and the shipping process involved in delivering the products to customers. The production
manager also discussed the importance of maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely deliveries to
customers.
Throughout the visit, the production manager emphasized the importance of sustainability and how the company strives
to reduce waste and use eco-friendly materials in its production processes.
Overall, the visit to Oscar Wear was an enriching experience for the students, as they gained valuable insights into the
manufacturing process of clothing and the operations of a production house. The students appreciated the opportunity
to learn from professionals in the field and were impressed by the company’s commitment to sustainability.
