CHANGING TRENDS IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY – POST COVID

Faculty of Fashion & Design, SGT University organizes an e-lecture to focus on the changes happening in the fashion trends after the Covid outbreak. The webinar ‘Changing Trends in the Fashion Industry – Post Covid’ was hosted by Faculty of Fashion & Design on 26th August, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm with Dr. Rena Mehta, Associate Professor, Department of Design, Manipal School of Architecture, Manipal (Karnataka). The faculty member Mr. Deepak Sharma interacted with the expert in terms of changing fashion trends in accordance with the Post Covid situation.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has dramatically affected almost every industry globally including the travel, e-commerce, restaurants, automobile and design Industry. Dr. Rena said that, according to the current scenario, the constant change is the biggest factor behind the new trends. Therefore, the economic crisis followed by the pandemic has made huge brands shut their outlets down and convert into minimalism. She had a conversation with students about retailers are concerned about the sales average range and how the pandemic has affected the customer’s need as per their requirements under the fashion calendar.

The lecture was ended with a great insight into the post covid scenario in the Fashion Industry.
