SGT University – Faculty of Fashion & Design is now an official member of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). FDCI is represented by over 400 members and was created to promote, nurture and represent the most incredible talents in the country. Its prime objective is to propagate the business of fashion in India and globally by adding resplendent flair in the form of coveted fashion weeks. FDCI is a fulcrum for activities that have been supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Textiles industries, Khadi Village Industries Corporation (KVIC), as it actively facilitates trade at various fashion weeks. The aim is to expose industries and institutional members to emerging trends and showcase their new and exciting design concepts on the runway for style connoisseurs to inhale. These initiatives serve as a national platform to promote the ‘Business of Fashion’ and help grow the target customer base in India and internationally.
